I am Wadie Skaf

Other name: Michael Skaf

I am an AI Research Scientist and PhD candidate in Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University, researching AutoML and self-supervised representation learning for time series data. My work focuses on developing models that are explainable, trustworthy, and less dependent on labeled data and manual algorithm selection and design.

My journey combines academic research with practical software development, bridging theoretical innovations with real-world applications. I have developed expertise across multiple domains including artificial intelligence, machine learning, software development, and web technologies. I believe in building AI systems that are not just technically sophisticated but also practical, accessible, and democratised.
